Brendan O'Shea
For as long as I can remember, sports and competition have been my passion. I have always enjoyed the satisfaction that is to be gained from training for and competing in a specific event. I try to pass this enthusiasm onto my clients, and use it to help them acheive their own goals.
As an athlete, my background is primarily in Muay Thai or Thai Boxing. I competed profesionally in Muay Thai for a number of years, fighting all over the world, the highlights being winning a Bronze Medal in the World Muay Thai Championships in Kazakstan, and winning an Anglo-Irish Muay Thai title in my weight category, I also dipped my toes into the world of Mixed Martial Arts for a number of fights I also currently coach Amateur and Professional fighters in Muay Thai/Kickboxing.
Martial Arts aside, I have trained and competed in a number of other sports, always pushing myself to the best of my ability.
I have completed many triathlons (from Sprint Distance up to Half-Ironman distance events), ran the Dublin Marathon a number of times, and over the past few years have been competing in Mountain Bike and Adventure racing. I am currently embracing the endurance side of training again and am looking forward to a number of Adventure Races this year with the aim of completing an Ultra Marathon in 2013.
Over the years I've build up a wealth of knowledge and experience from training and competing at a high level in a variety of sports, and I look forward to utilising these skills to help my clients achieve their goals.
I am constantly researching the latest developments in the fitness industry and strive to keep up to date with new training philosophies.
