Brazilian JiuJitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and proper technique; most notably, by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat your opponent. Brazilian Jiujitsu can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition.
Classes are held on Saturdays at 10am, and will be taught by Liam Beechinor (on the right in picture below), a Brown Belt under the guidance of Brazilian Jiujitsu Black Belt, Pedro Bessa.

Everyone in the club would like to extend our congratulations to Liam after his recent success in the European BJJ Championships where he won a Silver Medal in the Brown Belt division.
