Circuit Training

The circuit training classes are a combination of high-intensity aerobics and resistance training which are easy to follow and help to develop strength, endurance (aerobic and anaerobic), flexibility and coordination all in one workout.

A typical class lasts from 45minutes to an hour, and consists of a circuit of 10-12 exercises with participants spending a set amount of time at each station before moving onto the next during a short rest interval.

The full body is worked with participants using various pieces of equipment depending on their fitness/strength level.

A personal favourite, and one that I would use once a month or so goes as follows:

  • Kettlebell Front Squat
  • Mountain Climber / Plank
  • Kettlebell Swing / Snatch
  • T-Pushup
  • Burpees
  • Bent Over Row
  • Side Lunge
  • Renegade Row / Pressup Position Row
  • Russian Twist
  • Kettlebell Clean & Press

We work through the circuit 3 times in total, with 45 seconds work / 15 seconds rest, and 90 seconds rest between each circuit.

Don't worry if you're not familiar with some of the exercises. Everything will be demonstrated before the class, and I will be on hand during the class to answer any questions, and ensure you are working out safely and efficiently.

The difference between circuit training and a typical gym session is the intensity. The session will help improve your performance in any sport and will challenge your body by working it to its limit. You work, sweat, and best of all, you burn calories like crazy!!!

Why not try a class - every Monday & Friday from 6.30pm for only €5.
Private sessions are also available for groups - soccer/G.A.A./rugby teams etc. With Pre-Season coming up, it's the ideal time to get your teams into peak physical condition.
