Conditioning

Our conditioning classes use a combination of Bodyweight, Kettlebell, Dumbell, Resistance Band and Barbell exercises to improve participants strength, fitness, power and stamina.

The classes are ideal, not only for those taking part in the martial arts classes, but for anybody looking to get fitter, stronger, leaner or tone up. A number of athletes such as runners, cyclists, GAA/Soccer players are already participating in the classes and are reaping the benefits.

The kettlebell is a cast iron weight that resembles a cannonball with a handle. They are used to perform dynamic full body exercises which combine cardiovascular, strength, power and flexibility training.

An extremely efficient way to workout, a typical session lasts from 30 to 45 minutes, and are an ideal way to decrease your body fat and tone your muscles.

The circuit training classes are a combination of high-intensity aerobics and resistance training which are easy to follow and help to develop strength, endurance (aerobic and anaerobic), flexibility and coordination all in one workout.

The difference between our conditioning sessions and a typical gym session is the intensity. A conditioning session will help improve your performance in any sport and will challenge your body by working it to its limit. You work, sweat, and best of all, you burn calories like crazy!!!

Don't worry if you're not familiar with some of the exercises. Everything will be demonstrated before the class, and I will be on hand during the class to answer any questions, and ensure you are working out safely and efficiently.
