Muay Thai
Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing is the national sport of Thailand, and is a stand-up fighting style adapted from the battlefield techniques of the Thai army thousands of years ago. Known as the Science of Eight Limbs, Muay Thai boxing makes use of the knees and elbows as well as kicks and punches.
It is a safe, effective and most importantly, a fun form of exercise which is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. It is one of the most effective methods of training, a great stress reliever and great fun, And all the while, you are improving your fitness, physique, strength and agility.
A typical class includes
- Aerobic & Sports Specific Warm-up
- Padwork
- Clinch Techniques & Grappling
- Strength & Conditioning
- Core Stability
- Stretching and Flexibility training
- Sparring (for more experienced practicioners)
Classes are taught by Brendan O'Shea with the assistance some senior students.

Private classes and Group classes are also available outside of scheduled class hours. These classes combined with Circuit Training or Kettlebell Training are extremely beneficial for teams involved in all sports codes, and an ideal way for maintaining and developing fitness in the off season.
